Mulch foil

Mulching is the practice of covering the soil to achieve more favorable conditions for plant growth, development and efficient crop production.

Traditionally mulching is done with all different kinds of organic matter; i.e.: grass, straw, hay, weeds, etc.

Nowadays mostly synthetic materials like plastic foils are used.

The plastic mulches are completely impermeable to water. Therefore it prevents direct evaporation of moisture from

the soil and thus limits the water losses and soil erosion over the surface and plays an important role in conserving water
